The Celebration Residential Owners Association (CROA) continues to monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 through updates from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the Florida Department of Health and local governmental agencies.
On Thursday, March 12, CROA issued a communique to the community indicating the cancellation of events and programming, as well as facility closings, through the end of March.
Earlier today, Monday, March 16, the CROA Board of Directors met to discuss a variety of issues, including the impacts of COVID-19 on the community. As a result of that meeting, the following impacts will occur in the community beginning at 5:30 p.m. today (March 16).
- All CROA indoor and outdoor facilities will be closed until April 30. This includes all pools, playgrounds, Celebration Unleashed Dog Park, Celebration Community Field Complex, Fitness Center at Spring Lake, Artisan Park Pool and Fitness Center, Jones Room and Heritage Hall. All CROA and partner programming, including meetings, clubs, facility rentals, dance classes and sports leagues have been cancelled.
- Celebration Town Hall, 851 Celebration Ave, will remain open for the purpose of conducting CROA business. If you have business to conduct with the Association, but are showing symptoms of an illness or have recently traveled to an area where the virus is prevalent, we ask that you please contact the office at 407-566-1200 and arrange to conduct your business electronically.
- All CROA events scheduled until April 30 have been cancelled, which include:
- April Food Truck Friday
- Egg Hunt
- Weekly Farmers Market
- Art & Wine Stroll
- Community Chorus Concert
The CROA Board also directed today that community inspections, as well as the covenants process will continue as normal.
As everyone is aware, the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak is a fluid situation and as a result, CROA may be required to update the current impacts on the community. CROA will reassess facility closures, events and programming scheduled for May 1 onward in mid to late April. Residents are advised to visit www.celebration.fl.us for the latest community updates.
