Island Village Construction Advisory

What you need to know

The new roundabout at the entrances of Celebration High School and Emerson at Celebration (apartments) re-opens Thursday August 1 for traffic operations.  For a quick and easy guide on how to navigate through this roundabout, please click HERE.

Mattamy Homes and their general site contractor Jr. Davis Construction will fully complete the roundabout when the entire new Celebration Blvd extension is completed by Spring/Summer 2020.  Construction for landscaping, hardscaping, final lift of asphalt, permanent pavement markings, etc, will continue sporadically until then.  Mattamy will provide future advisories to let everyone know what we are doing and when we will be affecting traffic again.  This future work at the roundabout should have minimal on traffic.

Mattamy had planned the most traffic-disrupting portion of the construction work to occur during the slower summer months for high school activity.  Mattamy also coordinated with officials from the Celebration High School and the School District of Osceola County on this activity.

Mattamy Homes’ site contractor, Jr. Davis Construction (JDC), continues work on the roadway and bridge construction for the extension of Celebration Boulevard.

The “work” is the construction of the mile-long Celebration Boulevard Extension (CBE) from Celebration High School (CHS) to the front entrance of Island Village.  This includes roadway and bridge construction only.  Construction of the Island Village community is anticipated to commence later this year.

Public vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the CBE construction site is prohibited.

Mattamy Homes will issue these Construction Advisories periodically to inform people of general construction activity within the flow of traffic along Celebration Boulevard between World Drive and CHS.
