Lot D Referendum Results

Jun 13, 2023

Good Evening Celebration Residents,

The 2023 Lot D Referendum polls closed today at 5:30 pm.

The Ad Hoc Ballot counting group has completed the count and the results are as follows:

            Yes: 1,682

            No: 771

The referendum required two things to be successful:

  1. At least 10% of eligible voters must vote in favor of the referendum.

The number of eligible voters at the time of the ballot count was: 4,412.

As such 441 votes were required to be cast in favor of the referendum, which was achieved.

  1. A majority of all votes cast must vote in favor of the referendum.

The majority of all votes cast did vote in favor of the referendum.

As such, the referendum was successful and has overturned the CROA Board’s April 27, 2023 vote voting to spend $1,536,855.00 on the Lot D project.

The Lot D project or a substantially similar project will no longer move forward.

A spreadsheet with detailed information about the ballot count can be found here.

Thank you to all of those who volunteered their time to assist in this ballot counting process.
