CROA Board Announces New Executive Director

The CROA board of directors is pleased to introduce Neil Bresnahan as your new executive director. Neil succeeds Steve Waring, who has been promoted to a divisional leadership role within CCMC.

In his new role, Neil will immerse himself in the learning about the “people” of Celebration – the homeowners, volunteers, and board and team members, as well as the culture they’ve created. Embracing the pillars of the community and understanding their significance, he will continue forward with the community’s five-year strategic plan and introduce new concepts for the future.

“The opportunity to join Celebration has been a lifelong professional journey,” Neil said. “No words can express how humbled, proud and exhilarated I am to be part of this incredible community and its substantial history.”

A Seattle native, Neil earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Colorado State University and MBA from the University of Texas. Neil joined CCMC in 2012, most recently serving as community manager at Hill Country Retreat, an active adult community in San Antonio, TX since 2013.

Neil has earned a number of accolades in his career, including the Dee McGee Manager of the Year award from the San Antonio chapter of the Community Associations Institute, the CAI National Award of Excellence and CAI National Award of Excellence in Membership, among others. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he also holds several industry certifications, including the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designations.

Outside of work, Neil is an active volunteer with Community Associations Institute and coaches for powerlifting for Special Olympics of Texas athletes, including his son, who holds several national records.

“Through the past eight years, Neil has exemplified leadership and commitment to service for communities in Texas,” said CCMC Eastern Division president Joe Cook. “I’m very excited to welcome him to Florida and, especially, to Celebration. Neil’s education, experience and service-first leadership will make his transition to this premier community a seamless one. I’m confident the homeowners and boards will enjoy getting to know and working along Neil to move the community forward.”
