Falling into fun - Celebration, Florida

With slightly cooler temperatures on the horizon, maybe, we get to fall into some autumnal fun with the CROA FalltoberFest.

Nu-Leaf Landscaping & Property Services, LLC and Larsen Slaten Attorneys at Law are sponsoring this year’s event.

Scheduled for Saturday, October 9, from 3 – 8 p.m. at the Celebration Community Field Complex (CCFC), this community event will feature vendors, contests, food trucks, activities, pumpkin patch, live music and a beer garden.

A wide array of local vendors will be on hand selling their unique creations and goods. This always provides an opportunity to pick up that must have item. What’s a fall event without some seasonal fun? Attendees are encouraged to stop by the pumpkin patch and take home a gourd, or maybe take a walk through the maze. Of course, no visit would be complete without bouncing around inside a pumpkin. You’ll see what we mean!

Now would be the perfect time to get working on those Halloween costumes and plan to participate in the costume contest. Held in front of the main stage, prizes will be given for best overall, most original and funniest costumes.

New to the contest line up this year is a stein-holding contest. Entry fee for the contest is $25; however, the fee includes your very own authentic one-liter Stölzle-Oberglas with a fired on Celebration logo direct from Germany. Each stein purchase also comes with a beer, must be 21 to compete. There are limited number of steins available, so get there early.

In addition to food trucks serving up some tasty fare, be sure to stop by the Biergarten for seasonal beer and soft pretzels.

What’s a FalltoberFest without live music and this year we will be featuring two great live bands that will be sure to have you on your feet. New to the Celebration lineup this year is Ida Mann & die Hous Band. Ida Mann & die Haus Band with their lively songs, light hearted lyrics and like-ability, bring the spirit of Gemütlichkeit to any event. They play polka at its “Fest” and put the “Ooh” in Oompa. Ida and her boys play all the polka hits and sing-alongs to accompany your bier drinking fun! Also returning this year is fan favorite Off Kilter. Off Kilter is a high-energy Celtic rock band founded by Jamie Holton, bagpiper, in 1996. The band is a unique blend of traditional Celtic tunes and songs with a rock twist, popular covers arranged with a Celtic rock feel, and original songs. Instruments consist of bagpipes, Irish whistles, electric guitar, bass, fiddle, drums and vocals. The band is considered one of the most popular bands to play Walt Disney World and currently tours the country performing at many different venues.

A limited number of tables with seating will be available in the performance area on a first come basis. Attendees are welcome to bring along their own chairs to enjoy the festivities.

FalltoberFest is free to all Celebration residents, with a valid CROA ID and their guests. Non-resident admission is $5 per person. Carpooling is encouraged for those attending.
