Dear Celebration Residents,
We are reaching out to give you an update on the 2023 CROA Elections as the candidate forum will be different than previous years. This year candidates are being offered a couple of different ways to interact with community members. Please see the important details below.
Rather than hold a forum with such a large group of candidates or hold two forums, possibly giving the second group a “leg-up” in answering questions, we are recording candidate videos. Each candidate has the opportunity to make a five-minute opening statement followed by three questions and an opportunity to answer. Candidates will all be asked the same three questions as they would in the traditional forum setting. The videos of candidates who choose to participate will be uploaded to the 2023 CROA Election Page on Monday, January 23rd. Residents will have the opportunity to view these videos at their leisure.
In addition to the videos, we will be holding a Candidate Meet-and-Greet at Heritage Hall on Thursday, January 26th, from 6-8 pm. Candidates who wish to participate will be there to speak with residents one on one and answer any questions they may have. Please note, there will not be a virtual attendance option for this session.
Polls will open on Monday, January 30th, and close on Tuesday, February 28th. Residents eligible to vote will receive their ballots and online voting credentials on January 30th. Winners will be announced after ballot counting, on the evening of February 28th.
The Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 1st at 6 pm with a cocktail hour preceding. The three winning candidates will be introduced at the meeting.
