It was love at first sip! When my wife gave me a Mr. Beer kit many years ago, I am sure she had no idea that it would light a fire in me that would help to bring craft beer to our hometown of Celebration.
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Frank Lozito. I am a long-time resident of Celebration and a craft beer lover. The passion that Mr. Beer kit kicked off quickly escalated to a growing home brew obsession that turns out not to be 100% about the beer. Don’t get me wrong, the beer is amazing and there is nothing better than pouring a pint from the garage kegerator. However, craft beer is about community. The community of friends and family that want to be your product testers. The community of supporters from home brew clubs and stores. The community of brewery owners and employees that are always willing to share their experiences. Over time, I fell in love with the community of brewing as much as the beer. Then, about three years ago, that love turned into a dream of bringing a brewery to the community of Celebration.
Celebration Brewing is a family-owned brewery, taproom and brewpub opening late this year in the new Celebration Pointe Plaza by Celebration High School. Other owners include Michael Wendling, our head brewer with over 20 years of experience in Ireland and the United States, as well as Wayne Jarrett and Dean Bateman who are also Celebration residents.
