Lace ’em Up, Celebration Marathon Takes Stride on Sunday

Jan 26, 2022

The 9th annual Town of Celebration Marathon and Half Marathon is this Sunday, January 30. In anticipation of our great event, race officials wanted to share with the community that there may be some slight delays on marathon morning. Please allow a little extra time, especially in the vicinity of Celebration High School, due to the construction.

Our hope is to showcase our beautiful town and welcome hundreds of runners from around the country and across the globe! The race itself starts at Lakeside Park at 7 a.m. and will continue to approximately 2 p.m.

Traffic will be slower than you are accustomed to, so please give extra time and be patient. If you are trying to avoid the bulk of the race, it will most likely be the most congested in the community between 8-11 a.m., as there are over 2000 runners. Apologies for any inconveniences this may cause.

We encourage you to show the runners our Celebration hospitality by cheering them on at any point along the route or joining us at the finish line near Market and Front Streets. The route can be viewed at www.celebrationmarathon.com.

Additionally, you will see some increased activity around town starting Friday at 5 p.m., when packet pickup for runners begins at Lakeside Park. Lakeside will be inaccessible by vehicle for part of the weekend, as in addition to packet pickup, it is also the starting point for the race.

Thank you for supporting us, we are excited to contribute to our community once again by donating tens of thousands of dollars to community groups, school groups and Osceola County high school scholarships.
