CELEBRATION COMMUNITY SERVICES, 2024 PUPS & PINTS, HONORED AS GOLD STEVIE® AWARD WINNER IN 2024 AMERICAN BUSINESS AWARDS®

Celebration, FL – April 24, 2024 – Celebration Community Services, 2024 Pups & Pints, was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Art, Entertainment & Public – Public Event category in The 22nd Annual American Business Awards® today.

The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 11. Tickets are now on sale.

More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Startup of the Year, Executive of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Thought Leader of the Year, and App of the Year, among others. Celebration Community Services, 2024 Pups & Pints, was nominated in the Art, Entertainment & Public – Public Event category.

Pups & Pints began 19 years ago as Posh Pooch and has evolved into the popular event that it is today. It is a one-day festival that features a wide variety of dog-related activities, unique vendors, local animal rescues and entertainment for all spectators to enjoy. It is an annual tradition that brings many visitors to Celebration, Florida. One of the biggest highlights of the event is the dog costume contest where participants and spectators are heavily involved. This year’s winner featured two chihuahuas in a lobster pot with their owners dressed as chefs. More than 20 dogs competed, and our top four dogs won gift baskets.

The Celebration team and Lifestyle Department, including Lifestyle & Communications Director Liz Wargo, Lifestyle Manager Amber Whittaker, and Lifestyle Coordinator Samantha Major, along with the Celebration Special Events Committee, played a major part in the planning and execution of this year’s event. Pups & Pints was brought to spectators by Experience Kissimmee and was sponsored by Island Village at Celebration by Mattamy Homes and Celebration Brewing Company.

Feedback from judges included:

“The fact that this event has continued for nearly 20 years says alot about how well it’s organized, and how it’s able to get so much free press. I loved the video of the contests, how well attended the event was and how they even tie in pet adoptions from local shelters – it’s an all around “feel good” community gathering that seems to have grown over the years both in vendors, sponsors and attendees. Nice job!”

“With this team having successfully delivered fun and engaging events for nearly 20years it is easy to see how they area able to execute a solid marketing campaign and garner the support from established and new partners, and sponsors to promote their messages. It is also no surprise that this re-branded initiative was well attended and well received by the public. They have built a reputation and trust. The event sounds like a huge amount of fun, it serves the community so well and clearly has sustainability. A solid concept!”

Love this concept and the play on “P” words to have a theme and name the event. Really great promotional strategy to stay in local newspapers and using local companies to supply beer, etc. Love that the goal was to bring people to visit local businesses and were successful with that goal. Great job!”

“It is such a heart melting event!”

“Pups & Pints demonstrates a long-standing commitment to celebrating dogs and their owners, fostering a sense of community, and supporting local businesses. The strategic marketing efforts, including partnerships with Experience Kissimmee and various advertising channels, effectively reached a broad audience and contributed to the event’s success. The incorporation of a diverse range of activities, from the beloved dog costume contest to the involvement of local vendors, adds depth and engagement to the festival.”

More than 300 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
