Update from Executive Director – Thursday, September 29

Sep 30, 2022

Good Evening Celebration Residents,

On behalf of the Town Hall staff and the CROA Board of Directors, we hope you and your families made it through the storm safe and sound.

I know some of you experienced damage to your homes, townhomes, and condos. And others have already ventured out into the community and have seen the debris and damage left by Hurricane Ian. Please rest assured that the Town Hall staff has been coordinating with the CCDD in our efforts to address the aftermath of this storm.

We have already had our landscaping companies out addressing safety concerns posed by fallen and damaged trees. The CCDD is out addressing trees impeding roadways.

As soon as the tropical storm warning is lifted, we will have roofing vendors out to our Service Areas to address leaks and damage that has resulted from the storm.

The CCDD has asked that you place all storm debris by the road in front of your home so their team and contractors can efficiently gather these items. The CCDD landscaping contractor will be on site as soon as possible to begin storm clean up. Once a date and time is provided it will be shared by the CCDD. If you have any questions or things to report that are CCDD related, please contact them at CDDmaintenance@inframark.com or admin@celebrationcdd.org.

The Town Hall team has inspected each CROA facility and amenity for damage and is working with vendors to address those identified. We had a number of trees fall in our parks, flooding of a number of our amenities (including the tennis courts, basketball courts, and playgrounds), and water intrusion at Town Hall. In the morning, we will be putting a list of amenities on the website with their operational status and availability of use. Additionally, due to the water intrusion at Town Hall we are asking residents to use the entry doors on Celebration Ave and avoid use of the doors near the parking lot.

Please be aware that there are some bridges that have been damaged by the storm and there are flooded areas, so please be careful as you move around the community. If you come across a downed tree or something you believe to have been negatively impacted by the storm, please don’t hesitate to post it on CeleService, email Town Hall at TownHall@CiraMail.com, or call us at 407-506-1200.

Both Town Hall and CCDD will resume their normal hours tomorrow, Friday, September 30, 2022. We ask that everyone be patient during this time as both entities work together to repair and restore the Celebration Community.

We hope you all stay safe.

Sincerely,

Lauren Gunnyon
Executive Director
