Star Spangled Fourth Awaits

Sep 22, 2022

Celebration enjoys its Rockwellesque community events and July 4 is no exception.

The 2019 edition promises to bring pageantry, community, rock n’ roll and of course, fireworks, all part of a Star Spangled Fourth of July.

The Celebration Residential Owners Association (CROA) is putting the finishing touches on what promises to be another memorable day, as we celebrate our nation’s 243rd birthday.

The day kicks off at 9 a.m. with our annual parade through the community. Following a route that begins at Town Hall and traverses up Celebration Avenue, down Market and ending near Lakeside Park, residents are invited to line the streets and show off their patriotic spirit. Better yet, why not corral your friends and neighbors and participate as part of the march. Parade applications are available at Town Hall or by clicking HERE.

Following the parade (and transformation of Town Center), the fun resumes at 4 p.m. in and around Market and Front Streets, as many of Celebration’s dining establishments will be vending some of their more popular items. At 5 p.m., we welcome Sonny Ferguson to the stage. Sonny, whose credits include being a former member of the Box Tops, boasts a diverse song list, covering every genre of music, including Classic Rock, Oldies, Tropical and Top 40.

At 7:30 p.m., it is time to check into the Hotel California, as it promises to be One of Those Nights, when we welcome 7 Bridges: The Ultimate Eagles Experience. Dubbed “the best Eagles tribute on Earth,” by Rolling Stone Magazine, these six gifted musical artists out of Nashville, Tennessee, blend their extraordinary talents to honor their musical heroes and rock legends. The band uses no backing tracks or harmonizers, as they faithfully re-create the experience of an Eagles concert, note for note. Featuring one brilliant hit single after another, their perfect blend of songs, musicianship and onstage charisma will leave attendees with that Peaceful Easy Feeling.

Of course, no July 4 event would be complete without painting the night sky. Following the 7 Bridges performance, the sky over Celebration will be illuminated with a breathtaking pyrotechnic display, which is sponsored by Lexin Celebration Commercial, LLC.

Celebration residents will have a front row seat to enjoy the fireworks from the closest vantage point in the town. Lakeside Park will be a resident only venue on July 4, ensuring residents the best seat in the house. Remember those CROA ID’S.
