Celebrations very own X-factor Dance is proud to announce the acceptance of two of their company dancers into the much sought after dance program at Osceola County School of the Arts.

X-factor currently has a 100% acceptance rate as every single student who has studied with them and has pursued OCSA’s dance program has been accepted. Lindsay Taylor the Director of the program who is affectionately known by children across town as Miss Lindsay said, “We are so proud of our dancers and all of the hard work they put in in preparation for this audition. Makiyah and Spencer both worked tirelessly to prepare their solo’s for the audition on top of preparing all of their competition routines for the upcoming competition season.” While doing so they also maintained their technical training in their weekly classes on top of starting to learn their routines for their yearend showcase in the spring.

“Time management and responsibility are just two of the many life lessons we hope to teach our students while they study with us,” said Miss Lindsay. Spencer Sterry’s acceptance has really turned some heads around town especially in light of the #boysdancetoo movement that has taken flight this past year. Spencer has proudly told friends that he is a dancer and showcases his moves all around town even during baseball practices and sometimes games too! Spencer is also very excited to be joining his sister Fia, another fellow X-factor dancer who was accepted into OCSA’s dance program last year and has thoroughly been enjoying her first year. Makiyah Clausell will be starting the eighth grade in the fall while Spencer will be heading into sixth with Fia going into her seventh grade year.

Speaking of boys, X-factor is very proud of the fact that they have such a strong following of boys in their classes! “We have all-boys tumbling class, a hip hop class that is a perfect split of five boys and five girls and we have boys in various other classes and levels as well. Even ballet! It’s very exciting for us as we have always tried to make sure that our programming is a fun and positive experience for the whole family.”

To promote #boysdancetoo, Xfactor will be holding an open house for boys on Saturday May 2, 12-2 p.m. in the 851 building. “We will be holding shortened free classes on a few of our most popular styles, 12:30-1 p.m. –  tumbling/obstacle courses and 1:30-2 p.m. – azz/hip hop. We will have faculty members and current parents and students on hand to answer any questions that you may have. So please come and see what we’re all about!”
